I moved to El Paso, Texas in November of 1997 from Honolulu, Hawaii, where I lived, worked and played for 30 years. In late 1989, my Mother, Dr. Elisabeth-Marie Ellis, introduced me to crystals and crystal energies. Intrigued by the concept of crystals possibly being a conduit to increasing one’s ability to enhance different types of energy based on specific colors and properties, I began to teach myself how to channel energy. I practiced my new-found gifts on family and friends, with results ranging from noticeable pain reduction to decreased joint inflammation.

In October of 2006, friends introduced me to an El Paso café by the name of Butterflies of Wisdom, where I began to study energy healing with Carlos Luis Gonzales. Thereon, January of 2007 brought with it new beginnings and many opportunities for self-discovery and expansion of Spiritual understanding. I was overjoyed to have finally met so many like-minded people. Many classes and discussions later, I discovered I had several additional gifts, including Clairsentience, which is the ability to feel or sense information intuitively.

My interest in Aromatherapy also spans many years. After attending an intensive Aromatherapy workshop given by Regina Sander, who resides in Sedona, Arizona, I divulged my passion to my parents, Drs. George and Elisabeth-Marie Ellis. It was my Mother who suggested to me the idea of sharing the knowledge of Aromatherapy with others. In an effort to gain a better understanding of Aromatherapy and its various uses for enhancing one’s personal environment, I enrolled myself in an Aromatherapy class taught by Carlos Luis Gonzales. It was through these efforts that Desert Rose Healing Arts was born, with the intention of sharing the ancient ways of using Essential Oils to calm, energize, stimulate imagination, and perhaps create multi-sensory experiences along the way. One’s Spiritual journey usually goes hand-in-hand with continuing to expand one’s knowledge base, and recognizing the Source, Creator, God and Buddha or Christ Light within each of us.
